Love bags? So do we. Join us for our monthly Bag Makers' Club, where we explore a new, fabulous pattern the second Sunday of every single month.

This series is fully flexible. Either sign up for the whole year or just drop in for the bags that catch your eye. It is the perfect way to learn new techniques and meet fellow makers in a fun, social environment.

Join instructors Lisa and Coleen for this session to create Carolina Moore's charming reusable Gift Bag. This versatile pattern is a fantastic palette cleanser before the busy holiday season, yielding beautiful custom gift wrapping you can use year after year. The required pattern is included with your registration.

During class, you will master essential skills for creating fully lined bags and confidently sewing boxed corners for a professional, structured base. Coleen will also guide you through adding an optional, personalized touch using raw edge applique techniques.

What is Needed:

Students should have their materials prepared before class begins. You may purchase your supplies at Tiny Apple, pick up a curated Gift Bag Kit, or source your own items based on the required list below.

  • Fabric: 1/2 yard each of main fabric and lining fabric.
  • Handles: Ribbon or extra coordinating fabric.
  • Interfacing: 7/8 yard of mid weight fusible interfacing (Pellon 931 or similar).
  • Boxed Bag Template (Optional): The Carolina Moore Boxed Bag Template is incredibly helpful for speeding up the corner-boxing process.
  • Coordinating Thread
  • Sewing Machine: A sewing machine in good working order and basic sewing notions.

What is your cancellation policy?

We understand that life happens! You can receive a full refund if you cancel at least 7 days before the class begins. Cancellations made within this window are eligible for a store credit or a one-time reschedule. No-shows or cancellations made less than 24 hours before the start of class are unfortunately not eligible for refunds.
What if Tiny Apple cancels the class?

If we have to cancel due to weather, low enrollment, or instructor illness, you will receive a 100% refund or the option to transfer your registration to the next available date, as you'd prefer.
Can I transfer my spot to a friend?

Yes! If you can't make it, feel free to send someone in your place. Just send us a quick email at help@tinyapplefabric.com with their name so we can update our roster.
What should I bring?

Please bring your sewing machine in good working order—don’t forget your power cord and foot pedal! You should also bring your basic sewing notions, including:

  • Rotary cutter and fabric scissors
  • Thread and extra needles
  • Marking tools
  • Pins
  • Any materials specific to your class (fabric, rulers, or materials) as noted in the class description.

We will provide cutting mats, irons, and pressing stations in our classroom.

Items purchased for class use receive a 10% discount! Check your registration email for details.
What if I don't have a machine or it can't be easily transported?

No problem! We offer rental equipment for those who don’t have a portable machine or prefer not to travel with theirs. Our rental kits include a high-quality sewing machine and basic tool setup. You can reserve a rental at checkout or by emailing help@tinyapplefabric.com at least 24 hours before class.
What's the plan for lunch during an all day class?

We have several options for you to keep up your strength during an all day class. Our full day classes include a break for lunch (either 30 minutes or 1 hour, depending on the class). You are welcome to bring your own meal - we provide a refrigerator and microwave for student use. If you prefer to head out, there are several restaurants within easy walking distance of the shop!
