Love bags? So do we. Join us for our monthly Bag Makers' Club, where we explore a new, fabulous pattern the second Sunday of every single month.

This series is fully flexible—sign up for the whole year or just drop in for the bags that catch your eye. It is the perfect way to learn new techniques (hello, zippers and grommets!) and meet fellow makers in a fun, social environment.

Sew the Piecekeeper: The Ultimate Organized Carryall

Looking for a sewing project that blends modern style with serious utility? Join instructor Alison to create The Piecekeeper, a sleek and functional project bag designed to keep your supplies visible and secure while you’re on the go.

This bag is the definition of "small but mighty." It is a minimalistic yet durable companion, perfectly suited for organizing quilting blocks, needlework projects, or travel essentials. You will walk away with a professional-looking carryall that keeps your gear safe and your workspace tidy.

The Piecekeeper pattern is included and will be provided in class.

In this class, you will learn:

  • Mesh Mastery: How to handle and sew with mesh fabric for a breathable, "peek-a-boo" design.
  • Zipper Techniques: How to confidently install a long zipper to ensure smooth access and security.
  • Binding Brilliance: Professional techniques for making and applying bias binding to finish edges cleanly and add structural pops of color.
  • Structured Sewing: Tips for working with Soft and Stable to give your bag a crisp, structured shape that lasts.

Materials Required: To ensure you have the right stabilization and fabric weights for this specific design, students are required to have the correct supplies ready for class. You may purchase your materials from Tiny Apple, pick up one of our Piecekeeper Kits or source your own based on the supply list below.

  • 3 Coordinating Fat Quarters (Main, Lining, and Binding)
  • Soft and Stable
  • Mesh Fabric
  • 18" Zipper (at least)
  • Coordinating Thread
  • Sewing machine in good working order and sewing notions

Cancellations made within this window are eligible for a store credit or a one-time reschedule. No-shows or cancellations made less than 24 hours before the start of class are unfortunately not eligible for refunds.

What if Tiny Apple cancels the class?

If we have to cancel due to weather, low enrollment, or instructor illness, you will receive a 100% refund or the option to transfer your registration to the next available date, as you'd prefer.

Can I transfer my spot to a friend?

Yes! If you can't make it, feel free to send someone in your place. Just send us a quick email at help@tinyapplefabric.com with their name so we can update our roster.

What should I bring?

Please bring your sewing machine in good working order—don’t forget your power cord and foot pedal! You should also bring your basic sewing notions, including:

  • Rotary cutter and fabric scissors
  • Thread and extra needles
  • Marking tools
  • Pins
  • Any materials specific to your class (fabric, rulers, or materials) as noted in the class description.

We will provide cutting mats, irons, and pressing stations in our classroom.

What if I don't have a machine or it can't be easily transported?

No problem! We offer rental equipment for those who don’t have a portable machine or prefer not to travel with theirs. Our rental kits include a high-quality sewing machine and basic tool setup. You can reserve a rental at checkout or by emailing help@tinyapplefabric.com at least 24 hours before class.

What's the plan for lunch during an all day class?

We have several options for you to keep up your strength during an all day class. Our full day classes include a break for lunch (either 30 minutes or 1 hour, depending on the class).
